What are your thoughts on Silicon Valley hiring school drop-outs over graduates?

The NZBWN and The University of Auckland would like to invite you to an evening of connecting and lively debate as to the value of a degree and education in the 21st Century. Our evening will begin with drinks and nibbles followed by a discussion led by University of Auckland's Deputy Vice-Chancellor Jenny Dixon:

Who will discuss:

• A Kiwi degree in the 21st century: where does it fit with the exponential growth of universities, university education as a global business and MOOCs?

• Will degrees from New Zealand be as portable as they have been in the past; and what is special about them?

The world of universities is evolving fast and the University of Auckland's Deputy Vice-Chancellor Jenny Dixon is at the forefront of that evolution.

Due to the nature of this topic NZBWN would love you to extend this invite to everyone. So please bring along male and female friends, colleagues and family, regardless of whether you studied in NZ or not.
