Pop-tastic way to start the year

Written by Donna Hicks.

NZBWN 1 16 061On Monday 25th January the NZBWN had its first ever Pop Up + Marketplace event, hosted by The Dental Surgery. The event was a sell-out, with close to 100 women enjoying 10 rooms filled with information and inspiration to help ensure that 2016 is the best year yet!

Topics ranged from mindfulness to skincare to the importance of health checks. Groups moved from room to room at the sound of the klaxon, taking in 6 minute nuggets at each stop.

When we weren’t being inspired in the rooms we were enjoying networking, browsing and shopping in the Marketplace, where we were treated to an array of businesses with all sorts of fabulous products to sample and buy.

All that inspiration, shopping and networking was hungry, thirsty work – many thanks to Hana McEwan and Mum of Flotsam & Jetsam, who provided delectable nibbles.

throughout the night and to Rapaura Springs & Blind River who kept our thirsts slaked
with wonderful NZ wine.

Capturing the moments on ‘film’ was photographer Miriam Ingram of Halo Lifestyle.

Also many thanks to all of our room presenters for providing inspiration, motivation, tips and tricks to attendees, and also our market place presenters for showcasing NZ and international businesses to our members, with tips and treats on offer.

The event was so good we think we should do it again! – if you would be interested in taking part please email info@nzwomen.co.uk In the meantime keep an eye out for an email later this week extending offers from the Pop Up + Marketplace to all members.

An event like this takes a lot of planning and input to make it the wonderful success it was. The Network would like to thank the volunteers who helped plan the event and the myriad of helpers on the night who ensured that all ran as smoothly as possible. A huge thank you to the Dental Surgery staff who also volunteered.
